Monthly Test Toppers awarded Certificate

Unlike in the past when we didn't have the system of conducting monthly test with awarding certificates for the merit wise toppers of individual class and sections, this year we have a policy in place to motivated the students who consistently perform well in the monthly tests.

This system has kept the spirit of performance of most the students in good track of improvement for some of the constantly hardworking children. Yet, we observed that due to the vigorous involvement of children in the cultural show practices, most of them could not do well in the last test conducted in Sept. first week.

The award of merit certificates was for those students whose rank revolve within the top three ranks(1st, 2nd and 3rd) in the last three months' tests. However, the one important criterion - 'that a student need to pass in all the subjects' for the tests is not taken seriously for the merit wise ranking of the three toppers and only total of all the subjects was taken for ranking.

The school administration would further be hoping and encouraging all the students to do better and rewards will be no less than what they have already received so far.

Our school's cultural competition among the four houses was staged along with the variety show on the two 1st and 2nd of September 2017. Some prominent features of this show particularly for this year are that - for the first time in the history of our school the show was a grand success with huge turn out of the audiences, secondly there was a special item from each house to be evaluated along with the usual items Rigsar, Zhungdra and Beodra.

The cost of a public ticket was denoted Nu. 100 unlike Nu. 80 in the last years variety show. The school must have earned a good sum the 50% of which will go to the houses as prizes for the sole hard work and talents of the students and club Incharges. Hopefully the other 50% may be utilized for the development of cultural club's resources like purchase of musical instruments and costumes.

The judges for the four cultural items were invited from the three primary schools of Phobji and Gangtey gewogs while the fourth judge was an official from Norbu Bhutan Lodge. Besides the industrious contribution made by the house masters, the other staff also had their remarkable share of the contribution towards making this years cultural nite a very big success. The Principal and the whole family were very happy for the most enjoyable show ever staged.

Mid Term Results Announced

After a month long days of summer break, most of us have reported with the students on time to the school on Monday 31st of July.  This summer has been quite full of anxiety for the people in journeys to various parts of the country due to heavy rain down pours. Nevertheless, most of us had a very fruitful break as we could visit our home town and help our parents when they are in dire need of manual and financial assistance.

Coming to the end of the first week of August - we had the mid term result day on Saturday 5th of August.  The toppers of each class and section was awarded a Trashi Khadar each to motivate them further and the analysis of the results is yet to be summed up. Quite a good number of parents were surrounding the result declaration meeting in the assembly ground and they were glad to see their children smiling with the pass results.

Principal reminded the students and parents about the Central School's facilities and also the expectations we lay upon each child we are nurturing into future productive citizens of the nation. The children had their delicious pack lunch with their children after the meeting and departed happily.

Mid Term Exam Uncovers

posted Jun 23, 2017, 11:10 PM by Phobjikha mss

Our mid term examinations this year has started quite as early as on 15th of June and everything is gong on in more systematic manner unlike the past years. The primary classes PP to Three had their papers from 15th to 17th June before the exams. for secondary classes began.

The school administration express deep appreciation to support staff for the smooth and efficient printing and binding of question papers while the subject teachers were instantly relieved from the such monotonous job. Despite of the frequent and unpredictable power failures, they have been constantly involved in making the exams go smoothly as scheduled.

Unlike in the past year when every subject teacher used to get atleast a minimum of 6 invigilation duties. This year we have an average of only 3 duties in all, the secret of this arrangement and the examination coordination goes to the initiative of Mr. Krishna B. Thingh who is a newly transferred teacher from Lhuentse. Thanks to his intellectual effort to make the exams as well as invigilation timetables so concise to accommodate the time and space and we all recommend that such practices are always welcomed into our school culture for the benefit of all.

On the 9th Of August 2016, we had a very gracious day as our Honourable Sherig Lyonpo Mr. Norbu Wangchuk made an official visit in our school. We were very much charmed and thrilled by his inspiring talk in the MPH to the whole school family. His message of 'Trying the Best and never to give up' in everything we do to achieve higher goals was tremendously overwhelming. He showed his own example of how he could juggle 3 tennis balls whilst he started with just two balls in the beginning and after not more than two months since he started practicing juggling the 3 balls efficiently. By this example he wants to prove and show to all the students and teachers in Bhutan that nothing is impossible if we keep on trying with positive attitude and hard work.

He expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the development of the school since it's establishment in the year 2011. After a healthy and delicious lunch with us, he left  for Thimphu at 2.10pm with a very glad and smiling notes to encourage us to do even better henceforth.

While Principal also expressed his happy notes for the staff and students for excellent preparation of the lyonpo's visit in his absence, we are further motivated and we now can say boldly that we are prepared ahead for anything to come on our way if we all stay united for a good cause.
