June 5th is observed as 'World Environment Day' by everyone on earth and we had our own ways to mark it as an important occasion to serve our mother planet in our best ways. Obviously we had our mass cleaning campaign coordinated by Nature Club Coordinators Mr. Dorji and Mrs. Chezang Dema. The clearning campaign was very successful and refreshment and lunch were also served for all the guests from Hotel Amankora, staff and students. The campaign lasted for arround 3 1/2 hours from the morning till 2 pm. Once again we got the golden opportunity to serve our mother earth by cleaning all the rubbish thrown everywhere and we added an extra beauty to our most beautiful phobjikha valley.

To our most awaited and precious moment to come was the very memorable visit by Our King, Queen and HRH Prince Jigme Namgyal on 27th of April 2018. We had our Chadri -week long preparation for the visit of Their Majesties while even our Vice Principal was very much excited as well as in big perplexity since the visit by HM is the first time in entire history of our school.
Nevertheless, we did our best and HM expressed himself that he was very pleased with our gestures thereby granting us a separate Tokha with the students on the next day evening.

We had our grand success in making his visit a very fruitful for their majesties and ourselves.

Principal's last meeting with staff with handing over the school's administrative roles to Vice Principal.

To sir with love, we never expected and  believed that ever, happier moments of being and working together with you would  come to an end which could make us literally cry and feel that - 'there is no god for us' and it is also not even fair when your so jovial family - mam Chanda and your lovely children have to say good bye to their close friends. .

There was an outpouring of praise and gratitude for you sir from everyone of us here,  but even so, words could not encapsulate the successes and positive change you brought to the school in the last seven years of your service.

From the very core of our hearts we haven't forgotten a single moment where we all tried our best to make this school into what it stands now but it was impossible without your most inspiring words, strong supports, energizing enthusiasm and bold leadership. For the most deary and fatherly affection you had showered into the hearts of countless students and teachers, there is no way you can forget those innocent and heart bleeding faces you had last seen on the cruel dusk of 28th Feb 2018, who waved and gazed on you stnading in the long lines of possession near the school gate.

you have left this very cold place after transforming it into the most enterprising and promising institute of hopes and inspiration to all of us, but the warmth of your care and support will go on and on keeping us warmer and closer to the inner burning candle of glorious fame we escalated together for the last seven years in Phobjikha.

Never will there be a word like 'last moment' to convey how much we missed and love you for a  while the vivid memoirs continuous to reverberate in our heart for the rest of our lives.  May almighty be always supporting your dreams and keep your family at best of their health and happy.

Thanking and wishing you - 'all the best'  at your sweet home town school.

The school has a culture to host a special program to welcome all the new teachers and students to wish the new members of the family the warmest welcome and at the same time congratulating the staff who got career promotion in January 2018. In the presence of our principal who graced the program organized by Staff Secretaries and house captains we welcomed five new teachers and quite a large members of fresh badge of students from the feeder schools this year.

The students, looking towards us(the teachers) with great expectations also aspired the teachers to do our best in this academic session. In the eve of this year's Dipawali celebration in the school, we had a different version of the celebration unlike the Hindus celebrates at home with relatives and friends of the  community. With the suggestion of our Principal we had a quite grand family tea and drinks party with Selroti organized by Lhotsham staff.

On the dipawali evening, all the students were served with dipawali ,pooja prasad' which  is called 'Tsho' in dzongkha. Right after the 7th period students gathered in the MPH to celebrate and enjoy the pooja prasad. This was followed by the celebration share for all the staff and their family being invited for also the drink session in the evening till early night 10 pm.

The Lhotsham staff lead by Principcal sir himself had been busily preparing for the diwali for the whole school since 17th Oct.2017 while the main diawali session was on 19th Oct. 2017. We had a short but enjoyable party with drinks, selroti and delicious delicious dishes for arround 90 members of the school staff and family together.

Since right after the night's celebration at MPH, the Lhotsham staff will have to go to respective home to welcome and entertain the Bhaileni and Dewsi  groups of guests we had to end the session as early as 10 pm. We received very impressive remarks on the conduct and organization of the program from the guests and finally all of us departed for home not very late on the night.

Dasho's visit seems to be very hectic as he and his team shall have to visit many places within phobj and gangtey gewog centres and while he was here for few hours, we had his gracious presence and he also got to awarding and honouring the prizes for inter-school primary football final games held in Phobjikha valley on saturday and sunday. The game was organized by a team from Bhutan BSF and SSI from different schools of Wangdue dzongkhag. New Captains Elected

posted Sep 28, 2017, 1:00 AM by Phobjikha Central School

Along with the proud moment of newly elected captains, we have also given an equally important moment for the captains of outgoing class ten resigning from their roles so that they can now onward thoroughly concentrate only on studies.

We had a very important day in the historical event of the school this year on the successful election of school captains, house captains and other responsibilities in the 4th week of September. The orientation program for new captains with Khadar session was done along with the certification and thanks giving to the graduating group of captains from class ten.

The hall was filled with emotions for the senior captains while the new captains were filled with hopes and aspirations to do even better next year while their roles and responsibilities are bestowed with immediate effect from 26th of Sept. 2017. All the staff and students were glad to elect the most capable individuals out of 6 hundred students and we hope they would live up to the expectation of the school administration and the family at large.

The democracy club organized such an event to mark the instrumental role of the club in electing and nominating the leaders within student body and at the same time inculcate the intuitive essence of democracy to the youths of our country.

The program concluded with a very inspiring words of our vice principal sir Dorji Wangchuk in the zero period.
