Demise of Jit Bdr. and wife

We the family of Phobjikha MSS would like to express our deep condolences to our Head cook Mr. Jit Bahadur and his wife Mrs. Phul Maya Tamang for their unfortunately accidental demise on Sept. 21st morning. He was a very hard working and dedicated staff in our school. The tastes of food our students used to receive from him reminds the students of how much we missed him.
Around 9 or 10 of us went escorting the corpses to Dagapela the next  early morning from Bajo Hospital. When we reached the dead bodies to his parents we could not bear to see them grieve over the death of their beloved son and daughter-In-Law.

Hopefully, Principal sir is very kind enough to manage all the helps they needed right from searching the dead body of Late Jit Bahadur at Khelekha Cliff and collecting the contributions from the staff and students. We are quite fortunate to render immediate helps though their children who are our students are going to suffer mental sickness due to loss of their parents.
Principal consoled the children of the demised and the rest of the family in Dagapela that it was such an unfortunate time for both the school family and the direct relatives when such incident take place without any warning and he conveyed the message that we will be continuing to give every support possible for continuation of their children's education in future.

World Food Day Celebration

posted Nov 14, 2014, 2:30 AM by Phobjikha mss   [ updated Nov 14, 2014, 2:30 AM ]

16th of October 2014 was one of the important days for our school. We had a very grand celebration of the 33rd anniversary of World Food Day where as many as about 700-800 people with around 30 VIP officials from Thimphu with local public gathered to celebrate the day.

The preparation for the world food day began a week ago with cultural items, banners, buttonholes, tenting, etc. which of-course made us very busy but at the same time, we should be feeling proud to be chosen for such occasion. Director general of CoRRB, Namgay Wangchuk was the chief guest who delivered very important messages on the world food programme.

We had also our Director General of School education Mr. Karma Yeshey visiting as the Guest of Honor and graced the occasion and was much impressed by the way school is organizing such a big event. We are furthermore encourages to take part in such important events in near future.
